Auctions & Drawings

Win unique items and experiences while supporting CNPS! This year’s conference will include a silent auction, live auction during the Banquet, and a drawing. Some of our biggest items are even available for public bidding on eBay! All proceeds will benefit the CNPS Conservation Program.

Name a Newly Discovered Rare Plant!
Starting price: $10,000

MonardellaThanks to a generous scientific donation, the California Native Plant Society (CNPS) is auctioning off another opportunity to win the naming rights to one of three rare California native Monardella, the mint family (Lamiaceae).  CNPS launched this unusual benefit auction for its first plant naming on January 23 at 10:30 p.m., and it sold above the Buy Now price within hours! Now, our donor has offered an additional plant from the same Monardella family — a family including a diverse range of species and sub-species including mints, sages, rosemary, tarragon, and hundreds of other edible and scented plants.

This unusual benefit auction is now the second and possibly final opportunity to donate funds to a great cause for the privilege of naming a rare California native plant. CNPS is a non-profit 501(c)3 organization, and all funds raised go toward CNPS efforts to save California’s rare plants and places.
